White smoke from the hood
Hi , i have a mx3 -93 with a kl03 engine..
the problem is that when i drive it about
5miles white smoke starts to come out from
the left side of the hood.
Temp meter is in the middle posistion as
always and i dont have any white smoke in
exhaust.. so it's probably not the headgasket.
when i used a flashlight i found some water between the 2 heads,
but its hard to see where its comming from? please help thanks!
ps. i can take some pictures where the water is if that helps!

Re: White smoke from the hood
OK this is off topic but his picture saves me the trouble of making one. What kind of hoses and how expensive are they for the one just to the right of the left most arrow. I think its a fuel hose, seems to be cracked... would this affect performance? Loss of horse power etc?? Also if you look in the pic, at the bottom of then engine there is a metal pipe the runs parrell with the engine and turns toward the back of the car.. well the 'boot' i guess seems to be cracked and leaking sumthing, maybe oil?? would this also be poart of my problem??

There should be a big coolant line running under that fuel rail.
Check that first, then check your rear Intake Manifold Gasket.

Re: White smoke from the hood
It is a fuel hose. If you have a cracked fuel hose, replace it immediately. Leaking fuel is a danger. Straight hose is cheap, but that one is a tight bend, and you may need the real part, which I think probably has the bend formed in.Originally posted by bradmx32003:

Re-shaped and re-sized gearshift lever. Best driveability mod you can do!
