My '94 GS (bone stock) has started intermittently pitching a code 17. I checked the front O2 sensor and it appears to be working properly. Has anyone had any experience with this message? What did you repair/replace to cure it? Can I swap the O2 sensors to see if the problem code changes? I'm trying to avoid spending $200 on an O2 sensor if that's not really the problem, and a trip to the dealer to have them troubleshoot it will cost even more. (duh)
thanks,
Mark

Re: engine code 17?
Code 17 diagnosis starts with the O2 sensor, and goes onto fuel line pressure check, injector leakage, water thermosensor, air (vacuum) leakage, misfiring ignition, dead injector and ends up changing to a known good ECU!
So lots of potential culprits.

Re-shaped and re-sized gearshift lever. Best driveability mod you can do!
