Fitting OBX Headers

Does anybody syucceded in fitting these? I got problem with the front O2 sensor and with the Y-shaped section, it just won't fit! are there any other solution then cutting tubbing in pieces and put them back in place in a better way?

I also have these just not installed yet....I read about someone else here having to grind one of the flanges to clear the oil pan. The 02 sensors I have no idea.

I think I will just leave mine on the garage floor all winter, then maybe you guys will have figured out all the installation bugs by spring and I can put mine on then.

Were they meant for mx6/probe or something? I ended up getting a set too 'cuz I was planning on driving down to brullen for a full exhaust using obx header and brullen's cat back...

Mine came with instructions for a probe. I was assured that they are made for a mx3, I know they are not but for the money + modifying they seem like not a bad deal for a little more power. Thats what I say now since I havent attempted to put them on yet.

okay here's the skinny based on what I just heard from some guy who put them in.
The headers themselves fit perfectly....BUT.....
a flange on the Y-pipe has to be grinded so it doesn't hit the oil pan. Also the o2 sensor position on the R header is wrong so a small section of pipe has to be cut, turned, and re-welded back in place otherwise the sensor is in contact with the tranny or something like that. The ball pivot piece get's trashed and use a flex-pipe instead.

I got my set in over a week ago.Had time off work, decided to see how theses fit up.I found the front header bolts up, although the flange that bolts to the extensoin pipe, is tight against my oil pan.The rear header almost, but not quite lines up. Couldn't get the right angle, the flange is tight against the crossmember? or frame. Both O2 sensors are in place, Egr valve (at top of rear header) is on opposite side. One more modification is to move cat back. To get this system to work I'll need to have some cutting and welding done so, I plan to have my local custom exhaust shop install these for me. I'll have them cut the flanges off, make a sleave to fit over headers to extension pipe,weld these in place, fabricate EGR valve tubing, to fit on opposite side, (Possibly eliminate the cone shaped extension thing were it bolts up to flange on cat) Have them cut a section out from behind the cat, it needs moved back several inches. All in all, what I spent on these and a couple hundred (shouldn't even be that much) to install....for a couple ponies they're worth it.
