Is 13 beeps on start normal?

I know this is a very beginner's question but I I am wondering if 13 beeps are normal on start, or even when you turn the key to contact position? I am currently having problems with my starting, and I think my idle air control valve is out, but I will post another topic for that problem.<p>How many time does your MX-3 beep on start?

the beeps are just to remind you to fasten your seatbelt or that your door is open.

Thanks for the QUICK reply, Darren Hyderman. So, the car SHOULD beep 13 times, even if everything in the car works fine? Beeps are not error codes of any kind, are they?<p>Is it difficult to find and disconnect under the seat?

I've never counted the beeps so I don't know how many there are. Enough to be annoying that's all I know. If it bugs you enough look uder the front seat and you should see a wire harness zip-tied to the bottom of the seat.....Just disconnect it. No more beeps.

Just put your seat belt on before you start the engine or as soon as you can to minimize the beeping noise. IT will save your life some day.
