SLOWWWWWW accelaration
when i take off form the stop lights it takes forever to get to 55 is it my fuel filter? air fliter? catalytic converter? or what? aprreciate the help guys thanx. zel 
92 Mazda MX-3 1.8 Litre V6, custom cat back exhaust with Ractive muffler, NGK spark plug wires,white interior, stock gs rims w/ lo profile cooper zeon tires, (recommend those tires awesome handling and smooth ride, expensive though), altezzas, (thnx omenmx3). thats all for now folks

if it's really bad.. i'd suggest the converter, but check air filter and such first.. as its alot cheaper and less work

Is it only when the engine is hot? I know when I leave for work at 4AM in the morning, it's quick as snot.<p>But in mid-day, like today, when it's over 100 degrees and the engine is warmed up - it's downright pathetic.

What exactly happens? When you floor it it just doesn't accelerate, or does it hesitate and bugles?
Try checking spark plugs and wires.. does the engine check light come on?
