WTF's going on???

Hello<p>I got my oil cooler o-ring changed in feb. Yesterday I looked under my car and saw a drop of oil on my filter. is it leaking again??
Well anyways since i have had this car it has gone from f to l on the dipstick in 3000km's?????
whats wrong?
Also i was told my rear valve cover gasket is leaking but I don't see any oil.<p>Thanks<p>If I get get it to keep oil I am gonna trade in in for a integra

If there's only one drop of oil, it's doubtful you have a leak. Look under there while the car is running, if you see oil dripping then you might have a problem. As for the gasket, see if there is oil on the ends of your spark plug wires. Don't know where else it could be going, unless you're burning it.

I've had a drop or two of oil form on the filter after an oil change before. It's just some of the oil that you initially drained out, but was stuck to the oil cooler. It's nothing really, just some that didn't get cleaned up from your oil change.

Well I took it to the mazda dealer and there are no leaks anywhere in car. the engine has 120,000km and has been well maintained from new.
The dealer did tell me that adding 0.5L of oil every 3000km is not a big deal in these cars and is normal. Is this true??? Do any of u guys top up? I use casterol GTX 10w-30. Is this the best choice?<p>Thanks

it's very normal for our engines to burn some oil like you said. I have to add a litre of oil between changes.

I noticed u have over 300k km on your car. Did u have to add oil when it was new?

you have to add oil in ALL cars and 1/2 a litre every 3000km is nothing considering you're supposed to have an oil change every 5000km. I have never seen a car that doesn't burn a little oil off after a while even new cars.

The reason I was concerned was cause my 92 4 banger with 270,000km only went down just under half way on the dipstick in 3000-4000km. I guess the v6 is different.
