Thinking about a 1.8L V6 to 2.5L V6 Swap

Post by aliencito »

Hello People. I have a 93 mx-3 imported directly from U.S. (I live in Venezuela), it was 1.8L, V6, 24 Valves, and I say WAS cuz the engine is completly distroyed. Now I got a engine from a friend´s 626 (i think the car is of the 93, also imported from the U.S.). It is 2.5L V6 24Valves, it has about 60.000 miles (I don´t know if it is a good choice, but is hard to find a engine for my car here in Venezuela :( ). The old engine is already out (a friend of my dad take it out of the car) :D and I got the Part´s Manual from Mazda.
Now I wanna know what Im gonna need to fit the new engine on my car? (Please a very coherent list to make a shoping list to get the parts from U.S.). I ask this cuz I dont have the 626 engine yet. And what im going to need to replace on the 626 engine (timing belt?,etc.).
Thanx to all in advance for your support :D

Thanx for the link, but I get confused with al the terminology that uses, (my english is a little deficient :( ) All that I want (if it is possible) is a list of things that i should buy to replace on the 626 engine and to fit that engine on my mx-3, cuz, as i said, im gonna buy all that at the U.S.
Thanx again and cya :D

Hi Ramdao.
