mx3v6gs1993 Acts like blown headgasket?

I need help! few mos. ago, the back coolant hose burst and car overheated. repaired, and since then, Car acts as if headgasket is blown, oil pump cooler hose, replaced, replaced both radia.caps, took out thermostat, car gets really hot and i have to pull over, but loses no coolant. coolant will not circulate. misses when it feels like it , then runs amazing on other days. it is air in the cooling system, believe me,it's hard to get the air out but I'am almost sure that it is the problem.<p>[ May 06, 2003: Message edited by: leiden ]</p>

If it had anything to do with the head gasket your car would run bad all the time not just some times. If its your water pump you would be losing some amount of coolant everyday and the car would overheat all the time. You should put the thermostat back in. if you want drill some holes in it,(2-4 @ 1/8"). without it the ecu thinks the car is not up to operating temp. you could be running in limp home mode. try resetting the ecu after putting the thermostat back in. Oh and make sure there is no air in the cooling system.
