Re: Cold Air Intake
uhh dont EVER take the air box off and run it straight, u can get a cone filter and and a piece of silicone tube, and stick it right on the end of ur MAF and that works good, otherwise i here nuthin but good things from PRM

Re: Cold Air Intake
Performance: Maybe 1-2HP
Sound: Addictive "roar" when you step on the gas
Mileage: I noticed that I actually get a little bit better mileage. I haven't actually measured it, but I can get close to 300KM/tank.
Else: A great bonus I noticed, is that when I floor it, and my AT tranny is shifting through the gears, it's MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH smoother. Before I did my CAI, the gear shifts kind of gave this noticeable 'jerk' that made my whole body shake forward. Heh, it was kinda cool for a while, just like the race cars in the movies (VRRROOOM! <JERK> VROOOOOOMM! <JERK> VROOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!).
But with the CAI, there's only a very subtle feel when shifting gears. It even feels/sounds like it's shifting faster.
So yeah, just goto home depot and make yourself a simple custom CAI. I've got a 96 GS.

quote:
Originally posted by nefarius:
I am thinking about putting one in and i was wondering what kind of performance as well as sound gain do you get from it. also what are some good companys i can get one from...
Thnx

------------------
----
Gary Mui ( gary.mui@sinnovations2.com )
Sales Representative
Streamline Innovations 2
Vancouver, BC
604.312.9588
www.sinnovations2.com
mx3slimvisors.2ya.com

Re: Cold Air Intake
I have a K&N filter for sale (check my post in that forum)...but right now i have a K&N Cone...seems to add a little power, and a nice noise...i also get better gas mileage. I have also heard great things about PRM's
www.corksport.com www.prmracing.com
Both of these sites sell them, and have more info on them
------------------
~'94 GS (Creek Blue Mica)
