TPS Help
Last week I replaced the front & rear valve cover gaskets on my '94 GS and while taking the intake manifold off to get to the rear valve cover, I took the throttle position sensor off cause I thought it would be easier to reach the heater hose clamps. Big mistake. When I got everything back together, including the TPS, I started it up and the throttle shot straight open like it was stuck or something. I had to turn the key off immediately. When I take the TPS completely off of the throttle body though and just leave it hanging, it runs fine (at under 4000 RPMs anyway). That's what makes me believe that I'm not putting the TPS back onto the throttle body correctly. Can anyone advise me on how to do it the right way?
