Installation of tweeters

Post by nope-mx3 »

Has anyone mounted their tweeters in the a-pillar?
Any pics, and how did you do it?

Pics of the "backside" of the cover on the a-pillar would be helpful

I looked at it, but to mount them into by cutting a hole you would not ahve enough room behind. It would be better to mount them in the door panels. there is a flat spot that will accept up to a 2in. hole right where the door meets the dash on both sides.

Your other choice would be to build you own pods out of fibre glass. And mount them that is what I plan on doing here soon. I am building my door pods for new 5.25 speakes now.
Without signs in the world we would be lost. Wheres your sign?? HARSHFX SIGNS

I`m mounting them on the a-pillar.
The tweeters were too low, and to near my listening position when they were in the spot you said. (that`s the spot I`m relocating them from).

I attempted to mount tweeters in the rear. The specialists tell that weeters they are necessary only from the front in my interior. I prepared places, made grilles and to place it did not begin. They instead of the belts.

An imaginitive fix is to get pillar pods or something similar and create a tweeter pod instead. just an idea that might help getting your "sweet spot"
