Post by BADMX3 »

Ok I know it's not a massive spl score but I'm more than impressed i think this was quite good.
other cars with alot more money spent on them got less!!!

Where was the measurement taken? At the head? At the floor? At the dash?
If it was at the head, it's a respectable score. If it was at the dash or floor, it's pretty sad. I'd worry more about proper implementation (i.e. aiming and proper box) before I'd worry about throwing more subs in.

hey man you've got a nice looking setup. I think all you might need is a little bigger box or something. As long as it sounds nice to you, keep it.
What brand are those? Audiobahns?

If he had it metered, he's obviously at least somewhat interested in SPL. I asked where it was metered at, which could make as much as a 10 dB swing in his reading.
And based on where it was read, I advised him to look at his box first before he wasted money on extra subs. You think trying to save him money is offensive?
[ September 02, 2003: Message edited by: lakersfan1 ]

i wasn't expecting this to be honest especially with them being inverted.

Can you guys start listing names and addresses of these people who've been telling you that inverting your subs wil somehow yield different SPL and 'sound'? I'd like to visit each and every one of them with a 20 lb sledge and bash thier skulls in.

wohooo there boy there's no need to kill em all....
lol
it's just everyone i've talked to including some of the 'ice specialists' have said that they would be different inverted???
that's the only reason i said that.
i put them in my bro's box non-inverted and they sounded totally different. but then again that was in a larger different shaped, ported enclosure... so i guess it would anyway
