Need Help With my Amp

Post by Guest »

Hi I have a PD-3000 watt boss amp and it duos not seem to work right with my 1000 watt 15' subs. The amp shows that the becibels are at the max for the amp but the sub duos not pound hard. I had the subs hooked up to my 100 watt home audio amp and they worked rilly well but with my new car amp they suck. i cant figure out whats going on. the subs are 2 ohms and the amp runs at 3000x1 Bridged Power at 4 ohms. could that have any thing to do with the prob. let me no if you can help me thx. e-mail me at brown5@sympatico.ca

You have more than one sub? My guess is that one of the subs is out of phase with the other.

its late, the subs might be wired wrong but if they worked on your home unit that probably isnt it, if you are running 2 2ohm subs and the amp only goes down to 4ohm that is most likely the problem and you will cook it, this will put too much of a load on the amp, try a a different speaker on the amp even a house one but dont run it too long. hope this helps.
