If the spekers magnet goes too far back, which is likely if you get quality speakers, then you can always install a spacer. As for quality speakers, there are a lot of different good brands. Diamond, Focal, MB Quartz, Kicker, etc. I have Focal 6.5" PolyKevlars, they sound really great, but the soundstage is off because of the tweeters upper door placement.

I have Kicker R6s' in mine, I've had pioneer 2-way 6 1/2, Alpine coaxle 6 1/2, and Kenwood 6 1/2. I think most speakers will fit without a problem.

I have <A HREF="http://www.jbl.com/car/product.asp?prod ... TS&cat=MEL" TARGET=_blank>JBL GTO625</A>'s in the front and back. The front was a snap to install... the rear well, those gave me a little bit of hassle... but it's doable. The JBL's came with 2 different types of spacers so I just drilled 4 holes for the factory screws for the front and wala. The rear... well that I had to make something to make 'em fit cause if you ever cracked open the back and looked at the rear speakers... well Mazda was on crack that day.<P>Those JBL's have really good vocals, cause that's what those are for as your subs are for the bass... those JBl's have a swivel tweeter so you can direct it towards the passengers instead of your feet (in the front).<P>Well that's my 69 cents on that... good luck and let us know what you get...
