Re: WANTED! E-Brake Cable

Because of the potential for corrosion inside the cable housing, you're better off getting a new one. I think there are 3 pieces to the system. If the front cable of broken the rear cables won't move when you pull the handle. To check the rear, get under the car (on jack stands) and pull on the ...

Re: Seat Covers

Wet suits are made of noeprene. Want "the boys" to sweat all day use it, consult a fabric shop or upholsterer for a very very long wearing material. Just don't go for a floral print. :D :D

Re: nothing you have heard of before, trust me!

Yeah, spend the $3500, when you're done you'll still have a car that's worth less than $1000. Don't want to be mean, but economically it doesn't make sense. No one will pay any more than that for an '86 anything. Even if it's perfect or hot rodded. Kiss the baby goodbye and get on with an MX project ...

Re: Where do you put jack stands?

For the front, use the frame rails that run back from where the rear of your engine cradle bolts up, they are about 2 feet long, put then around 3" back from the front. They are located 2"-3" in from the rocker panel.
For the rear use the trailing arm, it won't bend. It'll let the rear wheels drop ...

Re: if i scuff my rims 1 more time.....

Do you know where we can get a group buy on the curb feelers? I saw them in JC Whittney (right next to the "glowing angel" hood ornaments, for about $25). but that seems like too much to pay. :D
Most machine shops will refinish your aluminum or alloy wheels. If they are gouged too badly they will ...

Re: group design project , bumper OK?

Hey, that white one is practically identical. Just has a stupid looking wing :D LOL. At least mine is useful, pulls in 900 TV stations, holds a full set of encyclopedias, and will cut 60 slices of Balogna in 3 secs (that's 0-60 in 3 secs, beat that) :D
Mine is the Onderground full kit. We've not ...

Re: Altezzes in Canada

I can get a new set here in Halifax from Performance Auto World. Should be cheap, I buy from him wholesale. I'm coming to TO in mid Apr and could bring them to save shipping. Email me if you want to set something up. I may be able to get them a little cheaper because they have had them quite a while ...

Re: group design project , bumper OK?

Hey Guys, just noticed something. The driver's side of the from bumper curls up slightly at the bottom. It's in the bumper casting, not the install. Should I contact Onderground on this or live with it? I'm the only one to notice so far, but the car is for sale and I don't want to drop the price ...

Re: Low milage after plug replacement.

Check the gap. Some places will tell you they are pre-gapped but not good to assume. They may have been gapped once but shipping usually screws that up a bit. +/-.003" gap will cause you to lose mileage. Also make sure your plug boots are all the way on. Just a thought. And I've had the best results ...

Re: I need all your opinion from all mxers out there.

If you still want them, you could try to settle with him paying shipping, or do not pay any more than you would pay locally for used rims. If you don't want them, he can't force you to buy because he misrepresented, whether intentional or not, it's his error, not yours.
Good luck Bro.

Re: steering wheel too low!

Maybe your seat is too close to the dash. Try moving it back and adjust the back up for your arm length. Sounds stupid, but I can't think of anything else that would cause it if the wheel tilts. :D
