Hard driving, Car almost stalls - SOLUTION(!?):

I had, what i thought to be, a problem with my 1993 1.6L SOHC MX3 in that it would almost stall under heavy (or sometime even light) load after a hard drive (5500-6000rpm)

It seems that, for me, the solution was to keep it in gear as long as possible before engaging the clutch, rolling to a stop ...

I got the shifter bolted back up into place as well.. and its been holding steady for almost two years.. the problem is that there is no guide for the gears.. its fine for me because I've had 2 years of practice but anyone else driving the car has serious problems.. the distance between geers seems ...
