Re: TurboCharger

Reminds me of the book Sybil by Flora Rheta...

Overview:

Mason is given the pseudonym "Sybil" by her therapist to protect her privacy. Originally in treatment for social anxiety and memory loss, after extended therapy involving amobarbital and hypnosis interviews, Sybil manifests sixteen ...

Not to hijack your thread, but I have read in MazdaMiata and in Clubprotege that the bore, and butterfly should be left alone, and not mess with it at all.

Re: Ryan got to go racing again :D

Go to Wal-Mart and buy a monopod and a tripod. Install the tripod head (which is adjustable), to the monopod. Place it between the passenger seat and the e-brake, get some bungee cords to secure to the seat.

Mount your camera to the monopod (tripod head) and ready to roll. Much cheaper than a ...

Re: Over Heating Issue

I am not very sure on the v6, but on 4 cylinder BP engines if the ignition timing is retarded to much the engine will overheat, and if the fuel pressure regulator gets stuck on very high psi. On my engine long time ago the factory fuel regulator got stuck at 75 psi, the engine overheated very quick ...

Re: cylinder walls of a BP engine

You know I was just checking into water/meth but man are they expensive, like 300 or more for a kit.

Do you use water/meth or only water?

What kit do you have? I see as well you have installed one of those aem fic.

Which one do you have?

I have an Apexi SAFC, the silver one with the 8 ...

Re: cylinder walls of a BP engine

Thanks to both of you, thats what I did...

I said f.. it and lets see what happens after I put everything back. The engine took a hit with that overheating and lean condition. I learned my lesson to zip tie all vacuum lines especially the one for the AFPR. The car was running fine until the moment ...

Re: Question about MAF sensor with intercooler piping..

I have it between the intercooler and throttle body.

To me I prefer the computer to boosted air because in reality that gives it a more accurate reading. It has been this way more than a year running at 15 psi until the oil pump blew up.

IMO, it makes more sense for the ECU to adjust fuel, timing ...

Re: question about oil pump

No need to change the oil pump, I mean upgrade.

If its an old one with many miles would not hurt to put a new one.

The only thing is...

Do not use those titanium/ aluminum pulleys, stay with the stock harmonic balancer.

Brace the turbo to the engine block, and I mean a L steel clamp from the hot side to somewhere on the engine block.

The turbo manifold will snap!

Guaranteed!!!
