Hey guys,
My speedometer cable is, apparently, broken. Anyone know where I can get a replacement? The only MX-3 at the scrap yard near me has been picked clean.
Thanks,
Dan

Transmission from Heck: The Closing Chapter

Radiator Fans - Both At Once or Independant?
Hey guys,
My '93 1.6 MX3 automatic is still having transmission woes, and I happened to notice something this afternoon...
There's are two fans... one on the passenger side, one on the driver side.
When I start my car, the fan on the passenger side spins.
The one on the driver side, the one that ...

Well,
It's been 3 months since http://www.mx-3.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=69986 Part 1 and http://www.mx-3.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=70804 part 2 of the Transmission from heck saga.

Re: Transmission from heck, part deux
I'll have to look and get back to you; but the transmission was overheating before the cooler was put on. I can tell you where it's mounted; right up in front, in front of the radiator and everything.

Re: Transmission from heck, part deux
Okay, did a little research on your behalf. As for the Transmission overheating/vomiting AT fluid all over, have whoever is doing your tranny work check the ATF Thermosensor. If you check the online manuals portion of this site, its listed in the 1992 MX3 shop manual under automatic tranny/trouble ...

'93, 1.6, ATX (I know, I know, but I can't drive a stick). It's been a month since http://www.mx-3.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=69986 that ordeal started, and my transmission still overheats.

Codes with no TAT pin?
1993 MX-3 1.6 AT
I'd like to check the codes my automatic transmission is throwing... but when looking at the diagnostic connector there is no TAT pin. There is a pin for TEN for engine diagnostics, though, and when that pin is grounded, my Check Engine light will flash my codes for fuel/emissions ...

Is this even possbile? Subwoofer Amp vs. Transmission Lockup
This may be the most utterly ridiculous question, then again... it may not be.
This was my post about my transmission a few nights ago: http://mx-3.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=69986

Transmission From Heck
Hey Guys, I'm new to the boards... I've had my '93 MX3 SOHC 1.6 with an automatic (yes, I know, the automatics are carbage) for about a year, then the transmission decided to 'go' like this... and anyone who has input is welcome to respond. I was driving from Fort Lauderdale, FL to Orlando, about a ...
