got them, i checked out the trany code and it looks like i lucke dout and got a mazda speed tranny for the price of a normal trany lol

1.8 shafts not fitting in 1.8 tranny?! 28 and 26 splines?
Ok here is the low down. I just swapped out my 1.6 trany with a 1.8 tranny and got a set of escort gt axles went to put them in and they are too small!? WTF? ok so i counted the splines and messured the axles and one has 26 splines and the shaft that was stuck in the trany when i got it has 28 ...
