yah my 92 has the long shaft. thats what im trying to use.
but to clear things up (sorry if my explanation sux)what i took off was the 2 bolts underneath the rotor holding the lower control arm to the what ever that connects to. but regardless it still seems 1/2-3/4 inch too long... an makes no ...

Im have trouble getting my lower control arm back on the passenger side of the car its about 3/4 inch from the bolt hole...
i switched transys from a 92 mx-3 (sohc) to a 94 (dohc) an cant figure /see any way to get the lower control arm in..
any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated ...

I have a 92 mx3 1.6L (sohc) with a bad tranny and would like to know if I could take a tranny from a 94 mx3 1.6L (DOHC) and put it on mine?
Ive tried searching to see if this would be a straight forward swap, but I don't know what all these techinical engine types or gearing types are... I dont know ...
