Re: noob air intake filter instal problems. engine ticking?

(Just reading the post i put up ere ages ago)

That cracking, sparking sound was the plug on my distributor! The plug had fallen off as it plugs into it from below. The silencer rubs against the plug on the distributor and had knocked it off. The spark was actually jumping from the plug to the ...

Re: found a puddle in my back seat not sure where to put thread

My passenger side floor developed a puddle under the seat. At first i thought it was the sunroof drain pipes but their pretty robust, i actually doubt they would corrode through easily. If ur car has a puddle pull up the front passengers foot carpet under the dash first and see if theres a run of ...

Re: Sunroof sticks

Ah Ha Think i have solved the sunroof mystery.

My sunroof was sticking when closed, the power from the motor, not quite enough to undock it. I cleaned out all the shite using cotton buds and tissue. This still left a bit of crud hear and there. I then greased everything and it worked for a day then ...

Re: found a puddle in my back seat not sure where to put thread

For anybody else with this problem, im attempting it today and have found some useful info in the online manual.

Go to the mx-3.com home page and click 'online manual' on the left, then 'workshop manual' pages s-53 to s-56 have good diagrams of the sunroof assembly. Also look at pages S-63 to S-65 ...

Re: Water under driver seat

I found exactly the same problem in my car a few days ago but under the passenger seat. Its pretty bad but again, i find it difficult to believeit could be from the windscreen as theres a raised bar that runs accross the underneath front of the front seats which i though would act as a dam ...

slipping belt question

Today I started my car and apon it firing up it made this immense screeching sound from under the bonnet. I use it everyday and its been running well until now.

I would imagine to screeching is a belt slipping under the hood. I ran the car for about 5 seconds and then tried again about 5 times ...
