Wanting to change my oil for the 1st time since i bought the car a few months ago. Its weird, in the manual it says my v6 1.8 needs 4ltrs of 5w30 oil, seems clear enough...

2 issues: how much oil + what type?

how much;
-the manual says 4ltrs
-Halfords shop manual says I need 4.9ltrs ...

I didnt have any idea how much it would cost but went to my local garage today. The guy said it would cost £25 for a new belt and £20 to fit it which i thought sounded resonable. He wreckons he will have it don in a few hours
