kl-ze

I just got a kl-ze motor delivered to me...its sitting on a crate right now.... the ECU says kl-31, i assume this is for the automatic?
is the kl-36 for the 5 speed then? or am i way off? Any info is much appreciated...
Lookin for an MS8 intake to trade for the kl-ze intake/ECU....any intrested ...

Whats the specs on the 2.5L cca's?? i keep thinking 520 or 540cca's for the 2.5L ....iys 440 for the 1.8L....so aslong as i get 540cca's ill b fine....+ i have a 1-farad cap inline stereo...that was a huge diff once that was put in....slowly just pullin out the car from the long winters nap ...

low idle fix

Believe it or not, but Ive found that if you run your FAN in the #2 position or higher, your idle picks up quite a bit.... a simple flick of the FAN switch could fix low idle....Hope this helps!!! :)

head gasket

While the car is running, open the rad cap...if u see bubbles come to the top, its the head gasket.... U could drill holes in the thermostat to make it run cooler.... Possible the rad is blocked? Possible low rad fluid? Does it leak rad fluid at all? Check for puddle after it sat and has cooled down ...

OPTIMA BATTERY

Im curious about which OPTIMA BATTERY fits under the hood of the MX-3? The stock 1.8L calls for 440ca's...the mx-6 with the 2.5l call for 540ca's(i think, or 520ca).... I have the KL-ZE, so obviously i need to go with the 500+cranking amps....Walmart has a 1000ca which is huge, and the 500ca-ish ...

I bought the front/rear strut bars in like 99 or early 2000 i believe..... im positive its the "FAST" brand of strutbars...... Corksport sold them to me at that time...When Corksport was in Oregon.... Would having the MS8 intake, without the phoelonic spacers fit then?

I got the front and rear strutbar from corksport when it was in Oregon still..... I keep thinking of the brand " FAST", but unsure.... I'll take a peek @ Corksport again and see...

spacers/thermal spacers-momo adapter

Curoius about the spacers.....would i need to remove the front strut bar if i use the spacers on the kl-ze? Also curoius about momo steering wheel conversion....what product # is the proper adapter?

sure does sound like dist. module :( Call your local Mazda and get a quote..... Possibly buy the part, and change it yourself to cut down on costs?? Hope you find the problem :)

That honestly sounds like the water pump is on its way out..... One day youll notice a large puddle under the car...the bearing in the water pumps gonna let go.... Its the the same noise mine made till it went....whinnyish sound...got louder with more throttle..Then I had a gusher of green fluid all ...

If you've always changed your oil on regular basis, a flush wont be needed....
If you dont know the history of the engine however, and it looks mistreated, a flush could be the option...
Before changing to FULL SYNTHETIC, know your engine!! If you have no visible oil leaks or oil burning ...

it just dies

I wenrt thur this over 5 years ag....it cost about 3-4ooCAN for fix....its the distributer sensor if i member correctly....cant recall the exact name.... the car starts up after a bit, then after driving, it just dies?
