I have seen bad thermostats right out of a box.
For piece of mind and cheapness I would eliminated the thermostat.
U can check it with a thermometer on boiling water if u want
but i would replace it and eliminated it

Up and down idle, running rich after warm up
So my mx-3 runs well until it warms up, then the idle goes all to hell. It jumps between 800-1200rpm. at idle and you can smell the bugger running rich plus its burning a s--- load of extra gas.

I just read in one of the forums that that mx-3 v6 is non interference engine?
Is that true? cause many people have told me different and the shop manual says nothing about it.
Are u sure? I thought it was i changed my belt , tensoine pulleys because i thought it was one!

I did the Hei mod on the car and now code 03 -distrib circuit - is present and the check engine light stays on in the car. So is this normal when doing the Hei mod? or is teir some way to fix it?
