like, will a FMU and a FPR do it, or do i need a stand alown or piggyback computer system?
Thanks,

boosted electronics question(s)
Adam Bochek's 93 1.6L SOHC http://www.bochek.ca/car.gif
I am wondering the same thing but for a K8 v6. what sort of FMU or electronic upgrades would be necessary for a mild boost application? I've heard that if I was only looking to run about 5-6PSI of boost that I could just hook it up to my VAFM and be done with it?
Sorry Bochek, dont mean to rob your thread. No sense in making a new thread for the same question but for a different engine.

You CAN use things like fmu's and stuff.. but.. I really dont feel comfotable with it. I tell you one thing.. I would NEVER touch a fmu with a ten foot pole. I wouldent even put one that was wrapped up and in a box the back seat of my car to bring it to the post office.
They do increase fuel delivery but it is sketchy at best.. and what about your timing? Sigh.. I suppose you could go with something like an safc for fuel needs. I have a feeling that one of those might work better for you.
If I was back at that stage I wish I knew what I know now because I would have gone standalone right off the bat. None of this safc crap.. God what was I thinking?
