Door light above head light change

Post by gregair13 »

today i bought some red interior lights to put in place of the stock white ones. (the inside lights that come on when you press the button beside them, or with open the door.) now i already have taken off where they are (and can get it back) but i dont know what to take off from here to get at the light and i dont want to mess it up. so if someone has a picture, or knows what to do, help me out!

There's 4 small clips on the backside of the unit that you need to press inward and down at the same time, that will take the plastic cover right off.

BTW, how did you take the unit out of the car, I already remove the rear view mirror but I don't know how to take it out without making it feel like I'm going to tear the headliner.

Best way is to get your nails between the domelight and the headliner and then pull down in either the left or right side of it..
Its only kept in place by a springclip in each side

all i did to get that off was tug it a bit so i could fit a screwdriver in there, and then there is nothing a lever cant do. it didnt hurt a thing. its pretty easy to go in and out actually.

tonight i did put them in no problems. the thing now is that my sunroom doesnt work and i hope that i didnt mess anything up when i was pulling to get the lights out.
