Air conditioner issue

Post by cris_barros »

Hi guys!

I own a 1995 MX3 GS and I'm having some troubles with my air conditioner.....it's turning ON suddenly...even if the A/C switch isn't pressed...it turns ON and suddenly...OFF...then, after some minutes, ON again...I'm pissed!!

Any idea??

Thanks!
Cris

Whats starting? The fan in the dash or the compressor?

I'd try swapping out the relay. It's mounted on the firewall - theres about 4 of them. Theres diagrams on my web site if they help but I'd just try swapping that first as its sorta the only place where the compressor could grab power from... Just turn the a/c on and off and see if you can work out which relay is operating. Good luck with it.
