I would look for "higher quality" speakers and subs. Those are both the bottom line's from two very good companies...

I agree, you should go with a higher quality if you got the money. If not, $140 wouldn't be a bad price for a system like that. It will be nice, but you could do better with a little more monwy.

Do you have a certain price range now? Are you looking for Sound Quality or high SPL(da boom boom)? If you don't already have a good CD player or an amplifier, I would suggest putting that money towards those...

Well the ts-163P are in sale at futureshop and I'm wondering if they would provide more bass than my original rear speakers. Would it be easily noticable or it would be hard to see any differences? I'm simply looking at something who will provide me more bass than the orignal speakers. They are kinda cheap and and I think they can do the job I want them to do.
You said they were bottom of the line for Pionner but do they really really sucks or they are not that bad?
Any advices would be appreciated!

it all depends on what you are looking for. I used to own a pair of pioneer 3 1/2, lower end model, and they sounded awsome for what I paid for them, compared to what other speakers cost. Some people like to go all out and pay the most amount of money that they can just to say they have the best speakers, and they waste alot of money doing it. I would say that if you just want speakers that are going to sonud good running off your headunit, they would be perfectly fine, $20 a pair is a hell of a deal.
