That's a rough looking photoshop...I couldn't have done any better though. I think it'll turn out nice, and as far as the amp getting hot, I guess that all depends on what amp you have... and if the compartment is ventilated. hook up a 12v radioshack fan :)

Wait...isn't radioshack going out of business?

A class D amp like shouldn't be getting appreciably hot unless it's really suffrocated.

OK! SO....thinks are lookin and sounding good! I got the part from phoenix gold a few months ago. Pretty much a miracle. When i broke the amp, I first took it to a shop to get fixed, and they took my money and told me they couldn't get the part from P.G. because they aren't an authorized dealer. So i phoned PG about it, and they said the only way i could get the part is if i sent it in to them, and that would cost about 150 dollars. So i phoned back another couple times, and finally, out of no were, the guy just asked me for my address and credit card, and it came to my door a week later.

Problem #1: Solved!

Now, I had my car sitting at the shop at my school and some idiot jacked up the car to move it. But, he jacked it by the spare tire well and oil pan, making a nice dent in both. I took it to BOYD and they quoted me 300 bucks. I said screw that, and my buddy kicked it out with his foot, and it fits perfect now!

All thats left is the carpet floor (trim it out) i have to put over everything, like in the photochopped picture i did.

This is what i fiberglassed to fit the spare tire well

And this is how it looks now.

it looks good but finishing it is going to be a b1tch. I think I'd make some fiberglass sides for your hatch to hide every thing you took out.

Good luck and keep the pics coming.

I always wanted to do something like this... I ended up just having 4 12" in a custom box...everything still rattled like crazy...

looks good, can't wait to see the finished product...
