Basic Turbo Questions

Hi, my brothers building as turbo system for his 323f an i just had some basic questions cause i been searching the net trying to find answers but jus keep finding contradictory info. An i know very little about turbos so here goes...

The turbo we have for his setup has an internal wastegate that is set to 7psi and obviously increasing boost you would use a Boost controller, but if you wanted to run lower boost ie. 4psi while were testing (fueling is the issue) how can you do that? with a boost controller also?

This is the main question that the net jus dont answer. i guess lowering boost isnt what people normally want to do. Plus the fact that a few of the turbo's come with a 11.3psi actuator which would prolly toastie the engine!!

Cant lower the boost with a boost controller past the spring setting
, only raise.

Um i guess you would have to get a diff spring/actuattor.
