Aston you have to many damm cars
And no LTSA won't wear a 2.5V6 in a wee lazer
and the chassic rails are not in the right place.

The Familia is light, and even lighter once im finished with
it.

Ha! yeah I know, my plans are bigger than my wallet!
The Laser is on TM right now, the reserve ($1) has been met, so at least i'll be able to fit them all in the garage!
I'm thinking i might pull my internet connection, maybe i'll stop buying crap then?!
Hmmm, a familia with a V6? pretty sure i've got a K8 lying around......, i'll be watching you're build with interest!

oh, the Laser is a 5dr, heaps of room in the back seat/hatch for a V6!

Just want to say HI
I was astonished  when I saw that couple of you guys served in Bosnia. Unfortunately  I did 2, lived/served in Bosnia including 3 ½ years in Bosnian war (Prijedor, Banja Luka, …). I moved to Winnipeg (Canada) in 1995. My baby (MX-3) should be finished this weekend (paint job). You can see some pics on this link ==> http://www.mx-3.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=44734

Best regards,
Isn't that amazing!!! I've been to Prijedor and spent 6 months in Banja Luka myself from Apr to Oct 04. I was fortunate enough to catch a few helo rides to Sarajevo, Velieka Kladusa (sp), Bugojno, Bihac, Tuzla, Mostar and few other's I can't mention. Spent a few R&R's in Makarska, Split and Dubrovnik.

Hey Matt, the announcement this week, was that what you were alluding to?
Even if wasn't, it sucks big time...., me personally, i'm sick of suit-wearing, keyboard tapping ponces, focking over the workers with REAL talents.
Time for a workers revolution methinks!

Well Aston, i think i might need your suit as my job is gone..

Im going to have a little bit of a cry later on, at the moment pretty
gutted, and its not even worth trying to hang on as those who do
will be on 8hour days 5 days a week, nearly a drop of $350 and
also thats might only be for another four years afterwards and then
they may be gone as well.. and not under the same conditions as this
time.....

So its pretty much the devil you know, they are going to have to push
me out the door thought,

Numbers to be crunched, staying in auckland is not really an option
as you will have 600 guys trying for the same job's, they want to thin
the machineshop from 16 guys to 5 not great odd's

So yea if you know anyone who wants a ex military contractor that
know his way around 747's 767's C130's F111's and F18's can machine
to FAA. specs airframe and powerplant's, does'nt mind that he's a car
and bike nut and is a very good shot with a armalite

oh can CNC and plasma spray and programme a B&S CMM..........

John you should have been in Sarajevo in 97 when the buggers where
chucking the shell's around willy nilly.....

I heard it wasn't pretty. Had my share in the past in Cyprus in '74, dodging rounds and crossfire when Turkey invaded Cyprus.

Hey what do you guys think of the slogan

"fighting for peace is like f**king for virginity"

Don't ask me why I'm asking, its too damn hard.... (but personally I think its a bit too smarmy for my liking and a bit disrespectful in a smart arse way but I really would appreciate other opinions)

Heard it many times before Grant, especially on my tours to the Middle East. Not a very educated or eloquant, but rather a gruff way of expressing the futility of it all. Trying to create peace in a society or peoples that is inherently born and bred with these traits, beliefs, morals and understandings of who they are and what others are simply in the passage of generation to generation. Basically perpetuating centuries old ideals, dogma and perceptions that should have been left in the past long ago. The key to any sort of success in that regard is to break that chain of perpetuality. Dropping what was said by mom, pop, grandma, grandpa or whoever in your family tree and adopting a more educated external perpective that is untainted by family origins. I really can't see something like that happening in the near future. It's my western upbringing that gives me this interpretation which was confirmed on my various peacekeeping tours throughout my life. I don't believe that I will ever see true piece in those certain places in the world in my life time or in the next few.

u cant compare the 2 whatsoever they have nothing to do with each other its completely different ways of change

to get rid of virginity u F*#$ end of story

to get peace well in reality the only way is to fight for it u can just sit there and expect it to happen

It's a crazy decision, to invest in talented people like yourself and then pull the plug to save a coupla bucks?!
I didn't have a problem with my tax dollars being used to bail out air nz a couple of years back, even though those responsible for stupid decisions were never held accountable, but for a supposed left-leaning government to just roll over and let this happen? crazy?!
You have my sympathies Matt, but more importantly, i'm pretty pissed, 3yrs time mate, watch for Astons' political party...., all them namby-pamby suits'll be out on thier arses!

as for the 'fighting for peace'? yup, i have no problem with that, but fighting for revenge....., hmmmm?
