cold air vent stinks !!!!!!

hey guys,

I have a 1.6L standard mx-3 , i have problem with the vent system when i turn it on with the coldest temperature the air coming out stinks big time and another problem too I have with the vent is a loud abnormal noise comes from under the glove compartment

well your air blower is located under the glovebox, so that is probably your problem, but the smell, can you describe it? I know when my waterpump was going, i was getting a weird order that smelt slightly sweet, it was the anti-freeze making the smell

It sounds like your blower motor, The one in my blazer went last winter, sounded like a orbital sander an ther was a ozone an burning plastic stink from the toasted motor. you should be able to find a mx-3 blower motor or match one up with another mazda at a salvage yard
