AC Air conditioner Refill High Side Port

Searched and searched, in the engine bay, online and here.
1993 MX-3 Originally R-12 (until a line broke 10 years ago).
I've replaced some AC components and now I'm in the middle of vacuuming out the system.
The directions i've seen would have me hook the manifold gauge up to both Low and High sides of the AC system.
>I've looked and looked and I don't see any High Side port.<
I also have an older Miata and I saw in a post someone mention something about these R-12's only Having One Port.
The drawings of the system I've seen only showed one port as well.......
Do these older R-12 cars only have One Port?
Hopefully this info will help out the next guy, right now I've pulled a vacuum on the low side and I'm waiting on the pressure test.
Thanks
