can i add an electric AC compressor with corksport headers

okay i got these headers that need me to take out the ac compressor. which is nice itll lighten up the car a little BUT its so damn hot out ( i know your familiar with the headers already)

now really what it comes down to is im looking for a way to put ac back in there. though the AC lines....

well if it is possible i kinda took the AC lines out and broke the pipe from the firewall since i knew i couldnt have ac anymore... and a while back they had to cut my ac line and take out my smaller radiator to fix the frame so i never put that back

now regardless of that i had an idea of putting an electric AC compressor in the car somehow so itll have ac and the header performance.

though i know i screwed up the pipes bad i figure id need to tie it to the existing system instead of putting it as a stand alone system. to tell you the truth i dont know where thos pipes go once they get in the firewall. i guess if its anything like the heating system itll have its own like cooling core like the heater core but anyways really im just looking to see if anyone has an idea or thought about this...

my idea was putting an electric ac compressor and possibly hooking it up to the existing system but im not sure if itd just be better not to.

i know its kind of an out there question of topic idk if belongs in this section but when i searched for electric ac compressor on the forums nothing came up i can search the web maybe later but the reason im on here is to see if anyone knows anything specific to the mx3

(if you dont know or dont have any real input on this dont bother cuz this is a serious inquiry im really thinking about putting ac back in my mx3 or else imma just have to get another car to drive around in the day time

yes you can, this guy did Image

However, you shouldn't do it and you see why ^^^^^
Fix it right, get new a/c condenser, a/c line and hook it all up, vacuum a/c system and recharge.

If you try to get an electric AC compressor in you're gonna be pulling a lot of amps.

A 75w electric compressor would require an ~300 amps from the alternator and even then alternators are not 100% efficient(closer to 50% seems common).

It's a bad idea, do what Mitmaks said and and put back in the factory AC if you want it, everything else is just gonna be a massive PITA that will end terribly.

i say sell those headers and buy a normal set of headers. My AC compressor fits fine with headers.

I don't see how headers get in the way of A/C compressor.

The headers sort of loop around towards the AC compressor and then back to where the factory one goes, a lot like the problem the BPT guys have with large downpipes.

the headers are the only performance ones for my car (corksport) and it says i NEED to take out the ac unit oh well no ac for me then im not going back to factory headers mine are all rusted bad and mazda would charge me more then the ones that i already got im not putting old stuff on here i want somthing new, ill just deal with it even tho it sucks but at least i have my power steering :) ill go mad if i cant have that anymore
