I know its a dumb question but could it be possible to change a 1 to a obd 2 like if i changed out the ECU or something, I know theres the jumper wire trick but i hate always explaining to mechanics how i figure my codes and alot of shops are loosing the OBD I check systems....

also i seen a cool little bluetooth OBD II thing and i would love to just log onto my CPU and see what code im throwing 8) instead if putting a paper clip in my car and counting flashing engine lights

OBD2 is a 4 plug where as OBD1 is a three. Easiest to do a harness change. I did an KLZE swap into an obd2 and it ran great.

Your opinion of course. :D If you can pick up a harness cheap, ECU (I have one) and KL02 vaf (I have one) then it could be a consideration. My 96 OBD2 ZE ran great with no requirement for chipped ECU's or after market fuel management. Just your VRIS will be off but only one of them and I can't remember which one, lol. People are against OBD2 in our cars and other than the work to swap the harness I have no idea why,,,possibly from never driving an OBD2 controlled ZE.
