... and I HATE being sad on my birthday. 26 and back to square 1. GRRRRR! It's like, I'm sad... and angry at the same time. Can I be both? (futurama reference)

It's like a self feeding, perpetual sadness-anger motion machine. Sad makes me angry, which makes me sadder, which makes me angrier. Who bets that my ex fiance shows up and says, "I realized I *AM* in love with you" and we live happily ever after today?

OK, maybe a more realistic bet.
Who bets that when I get home this afternoon from work, my MX-3 will fully assemble itself and ask me to take it out tonight to get wined and dine... I mean, oiled and gassed?


Sigh... the latter has a higher chance of happening. Which one of you guys gonna take me out and wine and dine me? I like to be romanced before anything else happens. We can call it... bromance. It'll be a... mandated man date. I may be sad but I can still try to be funny damnit!

Dude if I was within a 3 hour drive I would absolutely wine and dine you for your birthday. Hey, if you played your cards right...who knows...you coulda got lucky.

Too bad I'm sooo far away. Happy birthday man. One of the few things that I have found to be universally true...Your life is better than you think.

And I tell myself that, I do still have a good life, things are better than I feel them to be. them damned pesky emotions that always get in the way. I could use a emotion-zapper, or better yet...

a Pan-Galactic Gargle Blaster would do the trick.

Thankfulness, gratefulness and doing stuff for other people will cure all of your negative emotions.

And I wouldn't say you are back to sqare 1 unless you don't have a house anymore, your mx-3s are gone, you lost your job... so maybe you are just at like square 14 instead of 15 - you still have a lot to not be sad about!

So with that being said, why not look at this birthday with hindsight of all you have accomplished so far in life?
