I can't seem to find any 15" stock wheels for my mx3 but I have found some pretty good zx2 wheels. They look pretty good except for one of them has the clearcoat pealing off. They are way cheaper than any aftermarket rims I can find, should I go for it or wait to find the factory ones. I actually have one 15" left over so I would only need 3 stock rims.

if it's a good deal then go for it, you can always get wheels later if you really want to

Factory 5 spokes are pretty awesome, and light too... I'd hold out for them, unless your car is on blocks.

I tried them on the car and they fit, now to find some tires.
Here is an interesting read on escorts and mx3s

I guess the ones I found are these:
97-04 Ford ZX2 w/wheel option: 185/60R15
They seem lighter than the 17", I want to get a scale and weigh myself with them and find out the difference in weight by wheel.

I found a nice set of used Goodyear Eagles 195 60 15 and put them on the escort rims, if you look closely you might see the mazda centercaps.
The car rides much nicer now, not harsh at all. Now it feels like I have new struts in the front (I just put them on), before with the 17s it was harsh. The handling is incredible even with the skinnier 5.5 wheel and 195 profile. I was surprised to find out the weight was 18 lbs. Now I want a set of 10 lbs. wheels.

I've always liked the zx2 rims on the mx-3.

I had them on my old mx for a while.
