Spam report thread

I'm making this this thread so members can report spam, and Mods can let members know that its been taken care of.

The "report post" button works well, it makes it easy for moderators to see.

Banned and deleted about 75 posts from two spammer members today, took me about an hour. I forget the names already.

Thanks to Daninski for notifying me.

I am a moderator at Ogfor.com (probably the smallest forum in the whole net, with only 3 real members).
In that forum, any new member's posts have to be approved, before publishing. That saves me from having to lurk around endlessly, or to rely on members reporting the spam.
Maybe you could suggest they do the same here...

There's a lot of things that would be nice to have, but I have no idea how phpbb3 works, or what can be done, so I'll leave that up to the higher powers...

Ogfor.com is phpbb too, so they should be able to do it here.
I think it'd make your job much easier...

First off Id like to thank our Lord Jesus who gave me the ability to spot spammers. I'd also like to thank my key board cuz without it well, I just couldn't of reported that spam. Finally I'd like to thanks my family and their total indifference to me that allows me hours of time each day to waste here on MX-3.com.
God Bless You All. :D

Stumbled across and dispatched a spammer on my pre-bed forum cruise. Caught him 8 minutes after registration :P

three more members I caught while I was cleaning.

I banned an IP range since three or four of the members were coming out of it.

91.207.224.0 - 91.207.225.255

If this is an issue with anyone, let me know.

As you have noticed, its been an unending stream for the past few days now :(

I wish there was a "ban and delete all posts by member" button :D

I feel your pain. Yesterday, I had to disapprove 20 some posts, and ban a dozen new members in the forum I moderate, and, even with the advantage of having to approve the posts before they're published, having to do it one by one gets tiresome at times. I don't envy you, having to do it under these conditions, and with the volume of spammers we've got here, in the last few days. :(
