Hi there, names Nick, just recently purchased my first mx3, picked up a 93 gs with 208k on it. Im somewhat familiar with the k series engines as im from the probetalk boards, ive had 2 well maintained 89 probe gt's (one had an FE3 swap the other ran the stock F2T engine). anyways, wrote off my second 89gt back in april (no fault of my own) and after searching for a few months for another 89 i gave up and decided i would take a crack at finding a decent mx3 as i have always liked the stance and body of them. i was fortunate to find one that fell into the criteria that i had preset, had to be white, had to be v6 and had to have the sunroof, with the particular mx3 i picked up i was not only lucky enough to find it with all 3 base line requirements i had set, it surpassed my expectations. the car has virtually no rust, has a clean black leather interior (minus the seats which i found out where put in the car from a 94) and has a clean engine.

this all made for a great platform to build on, looking forward to learning more about this car during my tenure on these boards =)

would only go back if it was a mint oxford white or champagne gold 89 gt, other then that yeah, i think im done with them =(

thanks for the welcome, already starting to price out a turbo setup for this car as i do miss being boosted, once the parts start rolling in i'll probably start a worklog over the winter =)

Awesome! It never hurts to plan ahead Think about the tranny though, you'll remember that from the Probe. You probably already know, but we have the exact same one.

yeah the 2g's had the kl with the weak tranny, so thats something ive been looking into already, my f2t i4 trans was bullet proof tho
