Removing Torqe Converter

I have my BP engine and getting it ready to drop in... the engine is from an ATX and I cannot get the torque converter off! It's very frustrating. I know it is 4x14mm bolts but they are right behind the flex plate and there is no room to fit a 14mm socket behind there to get to them. I have tried the crescent side of the 14mm wrench but the bolts look like they will strip easily. The starter is off as well and I was told that is a good way to access the bolts but in fact it does not. It allows for a circular hole to access but the bolt heads are still not completely accessible. Anyone know how to get these bolts off easily?

I used a box end wrench. One stripped, I angle ground its a--.
Oh, you haven't removed the trans from the motor yet.
Just loosen all the bell housing bolts, and then slide it off like a manual trans. Just don't let it hang on the drive shafts, make sure you pull it all the way off and don't let it hang half on.

No the trans is removed, just the TC attached and those damn bolts... guess I might try the box end of the wrench but I was scared to strip them. Guess I don't have much of a choice

you don't need the flex plate or the torque converter on your new build. just angle grind the nut off if worst comes to worst...
