any tips for disconnecting the heater hose retainers?

room is tight back there, any tips that might save me a headache?

i've tried "pushing the retainers" in but it doesnt go in far enough? hard to put a lot of pressure on them.

f--- them.

Just undo the hose clamps. That fitting is an engineering embarrassment.

yea thats what i ended up doing.

yeah those things are a nightmare... I believe I was able to get them out using a couple of flathead screwdrivers, but it wasn't easy.
