Makes sense to me. Efficient way to make power than what you have, but as an automaker, they have the right idea.

Yeah it's an interesting read, but pretty much better off with the correct displacement engine for the job.

I've always liked the idea of a slightly undersized engine with a turbo. Sometimes its easier and cheaper to modify for your dollar, just turn up the boost a little and get a nice large diameter exhaust and you have extra power 
Cant do that with NA. Maybe Mazda realizes this and secretly wants to take away our zoom zoom...Hell next thing you know the MS3 is gonna come with a 260hp NA V6 that has absolutely no potential for modifications. But if increased mileage is really what they want, why is it that everytime a model is updated, it seems to gain 100+ lbs, the engine size goes up, the power level goes up to compensate for weight, and mileage suffers or at best stays almost the same level.
