Hi Guys,
Another question regarding recognizing a true B&M shortshifter.
Does it say someway the shortshifter is a B&M one ? or some specific unique way I can see it's a B&M?
I've been told it's on a mx3 thats in the Junkjard so I'd like to take it off.
Other question about that: What do I need to unbolt it? I don't want to bring the whole toolbox.

I don't know if there writing on it but who cares, a short shifter is a short shifter.
Anyways it'll be chrome and have a blue anodized base where the pivot ball sits in.
To remove you'll need a philips screwdriver to get the panel surround off. pair of pliers and a flat head screwdriver to get the spring out. And a 12mm open end and 12mm socket to get the bolt off underneath.

Oke, so I got the B&M from another JY car.
Why can't I get it out ?? !! ??
There is a ring with 2 'eyes' in the bottom, i thought it was this one, but when I removed it still was stuck !!
How can I get it loose?

The shifter ball is captured inside a cylindrical holder that slides down into there. Mine has 2 o-rings on the outer surface to make it nice and snug in there. That one is probably just stuck. Find a piece of pipe or something that fits over the bottom end of the shifter and use a hammer to tap it out.
