Ethand's Eunos Presso 1.8 V6

This is my 'new' little beast. I've had it about 7 months or so, and havent done much to it in terms of modding. I kept the 17 inch rims that I bought for my old 323, which go better with this car than the 323, I think, and havent done anything other than a new sound system and seat covers since getting it completely stock. I absolutely love this car to bits, and is by far the best drivers car I've driven this side of $20k (not to mention one of the best looking)... and I've driven a few! I figured I may as well post up a work log seeing as I've been trolling the site since a few months before I bought it

So, this is Zeke

^After windows got tinted

^Replaced interior "door light" with red LEDs, just for fun!

^More recent pic... A bit better light than the only other photo I've taken since I got the windows tinted!
Not too sure what else I'll do to it, I dont think I'll do too much to it... Maybe some little chrome highlights here and there (speedo, maybe A/C vents and stainless steel door sills/scuff plates), to go for the more subtle look. I'm also considering re-upholstering the interior with red fabric highlights to the seats and doors... but we'll see if I can be bothered with the fiddly upholstering bizzo!!

Nice car.

Is that an in-dash speaker to the left of your steering wheel???

haha thanks!
yeah, what wytbishop said! Mine's a Eunos Presso imported from Japan, so has all the stock jap features. The ones sold in Australia also had this dash style, which I kinda like. It looks a little more luxury/suave rather than typical japanese sports/rice, I think...

put these on yesterday, as my rubber casings broke somehow and kept coming off while I was driving, resulting in a few rather embarassing stalls haha
Pretty sure I've just added 30hp or so to the car by putting these on...

I always liked the presso bumper wish they were reasonably priced here I would have on pretty quick.

do they have a special bumper? front or rear?
My rear one is kinda annoying, as its licence plate space is shorter than the licence plates... I'm hoping to get custom plates, but they're $800, which is a fair bit... and I can't think of anything funny/good to have on them!! One day, maybe hahaha

I love your car dude. I put a j-spec 1.8 in mine but without your ECU it will only put 135 hp out lol.

haha found out those metal pedals are illegal in Aus, plus they kept coming loose & were gouging out bits of my floor mats, so i took them off on Sunday.
I also fixed my fog lights/parkers... they're wired as parkers as my car doesnt have any other space for parkers, and also because my housing for the foglights globe/fitting was plastic, so i gotta get the wattage checked out by an auto electrician before i plug anything in there (just in case it blows/gets hot and melts the plastic...)
A pic of the now working foggies/parkers below:
Hopefully this weekend I'll get round to removing the passenger side weather shield (the drivers side one broke off the day after i bought it) and remove all evidence of there ever being weather shields and respray where the glue has wrecked the paint there... then it'll look clean again!!

i believe, based on all the random article on the internet,
If you have a right hand drive Japanese spec mx-3 (Ennos Presso, az-3) with a 7500 rpm red-line on your original tachometer, that you have between 140 - 144 hp. The Japanese ECU is better, no emission control. I sure fire sign is to check if you have a,
-straight neck intake manifold 1.8 V6
-no EGR valve
-the Tach is 7500rpm.
If your car doesn't have these it will have 130 - 135 hp only.;

ah, ok... sik!! well its defs a Jap spec, RHD Eunos Presso (it was imported from Japan to Australia in '98), has all the badges, steering wheel, interior bits and bobs, and all manuals, stickers inside the bonnet/fusebox are in Japanese, and it's redline is 7500, engine has K8 101 stamped on everything... as for straight neck intake manifold... gotta check that... I'll post up a pic? Ditto the EGR valve... wouldnt have a clue what one is haha

but thats cool! i had no idea... i love feeling like i scored!!
[edit] here's a pic i took just now...
