Daytime running lights

I tried looking but can't find an answer.

Does anyone know if the daytime running lights (headlights) are at half or full voltage when on during the day before you turn them on with the knob?

i dont know, if you want to know for hids... just unplug the drl module...

Daytime running lights use high beams at a reduced voltage. I think it's a bit more than 50%. (Not sure on the percentage)

Hmm lets see 50% of 12 volts,,thats like half of something right so, 12 divided by half of it carry the 0 subtract the unnecassary and is squared to the derivitive of a whole number meaning we're running on between 5 and 7 volts. What ever that number is.

It is for HID's but the ones I am getting have built in highbeams, which don't run on the ballast. So if all works out well, I can still run them normally without having to unplug the module.

are u getting a bi-xenon kit? how can it not run on the ballast? do you have oem headlights or projectors?

really? the bi-xenon I have bought from them before, had a standard highbeam bulb built in and the hid low beams. Is what I got then not bi-xenon?

My friends and I were joking how the low beam hids were brighter than the high beams

every bi-xenon hid kit ive seen had hid lows and hid highs... so i guess ull see when you get them!

just to let you know, it doesn't really matter if it has high or low, because your putting them in the OEM halogen headlight, its just going to be bright scattered blurry light to 1-2 more foot or scattered blurry light.

Bi-xenon uses the HID bulb for both low and high beam, it just tilts it up. What you have is HID low and Halogen high, just as a regular HID kit.

Easiest way, take a simple multimeter and measure the voltage coming out.
