Finally found one!

Yep found my first MX3 SE

and get this?

The body is perfect on it :o . Well not perfect, a dent in the driver's fender but still! The only reason this is in the junkyard is because it needed a new distributor. Engine and transmission runs!

Now normally I'd buy it and work on it but here is the thing... a lot has been taken out =/... I would need:

- new front seats
- trunk trim
- spoiler
- some various interior pieces
- new tires and rims
- all new brakes (and probably lines from sitting)
- new distributor/cap/rotor
- GS lip (hahahahaa yeah i know hard to get)

I don't know what else is off the car either..

so yeah it would be a heck of a project car...

It's sitting on the underbody... there's prolly damage done now. Too late. I like how they lined all the MX-3s up together though.

Dude this j/y with all those mx3's is in PA? What are the prices like on parts? Is it a pick-it-yourself like place? Been looking for a j/y within a few hours driving of Albany, NY for awhile now.

@ Night shade:

yeah I thought about that too.. I'm so mad that the person threw out a great condition SE =(.

@onlytrue:

yep it is! It's right near Pittsburgh... It's in Harmony, PA. And it is a pick-it-yourself place.

They have about 5 MX's.. but all are Automatic =(.

Prices really vary.. sometimes they are good, sometimes they aren't.. for example, I bought:

complete rear wiper assembly/rear washer fluid assembly (with the wiring harness)
Antennae
rear mudguards

charged me about $75.

I quoted them on the rear hatch, they wanted $150...

Nice find, seems to be in ok shape. I'd really like to get a oem se shift knob, but I think in reality that will not come to be.

I'm not sure but I can go back and check. The car still has the SE rear seats and such, and there didn't seem to be any tears, though it was dirty and I'm not sure if rain got to them. But I'll check:

@ solo: I was hoping for the shift knob/boot to grab but as stated all cars in the lot were failmatic.

is there a good conditioned bumper on any of them you'd be willing to sell me? I check my local PnP every week-week.5 but NEVER any luck. I suppose that's why they're in there, for bumping stuff

there are actually quite a few fronts. I think 3 fronts. The SE has a good front w/out lip... i think that blue one has a good front.. i know the red one you can see is damaged.. and there is a purple-ish one that has a good front.

Door rubber especially drivers side is popular. Score them and stuff them in your pants. if the yard guy looks at you funny just smile. :) The TPS is easy to remove as are the temp sensors and such.
