Will this radiator fit?

Went scavenging through the junkyard to find a radiator for my mx3, but not much luck. Most radiators are either smaller than stock or have plastic end tanks I don't trust. I ended up getting a (very heavy) radiator with metal end tanks from an old Nissan. The radiator hoses are in the same place as stock but the end tanks are on the top and bottom instead of on the sides. I'm not sure if it will fit; it's thicker than stock (which I guess is good) but taller with the placement of the end tanks.

I also saw a 929 (I think) with metal end tanks on the sides that might fit.

But for just a little more money I found this:

Looks like a nice radiator, surely lighter than the one we have now. Not as wide (31" down to 17") but much thicker. I think we can figure out a way to mount it without too much trouble, as long as we can figure out how to reroute the radiator hose. I'm thinking the bottom hose should reroute fine (connect on the left instead of the right, but the same hose could be used) but the top hose would need to be longer to meet in the center.

This thread:

http://www.mx-3.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=15416" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

suggests the radiator should be too tall, but it seems 14.5" should be not much taller than stock.

I've also considered my rx7 radiator, since it's nice and light (still need to reroute the bottom hose), but it isn't nearly as thick as this one.

Will this work? Any other suggestions? Keep in mind I have a tight budget since this is a LeMons car.

Honestly, for something as cheap as a LeMons car, I would take any of the above, whichever seems to be in good condition and costs little, and just cram that baby in there with some wire or tie straps holding it to the core support. The rerouting of hoses is probably going to be tough (I would think so at least). Getting the right hose diameter and bends is going to be tough. The accordian (sp?) generic tubing is going to be the best bet, but getting the bends without touching the header or coming close enough to melt it... I dunno.

I see threads like this and wonder why you'd want to bring avoidable grief into your life. Just buy the proper rad once and be set for life. No problems.l
