QUESTION

is there any way to clean a fuel pump ?
just asking
or replacing it is the only way :crying:

just replace it, if the pump is failing due to mechanical/electrical resistance(too high of an amperage or voltage draw) then its dead, new pump, meet gas tank

so the fuel pump would be a cause of the car turnin over but not starting at all right

could be, amongst many other things that could cause a car not to start, most people suggest to check your intake/vacuum hoses first, if your having a problem starting

well then the next step would be to check spark, if you get that, then yeah, it may be your fuel pump, but there are ways to check if your getting fuel or not either, trying searching on these forums about starting issues, you can use search terms like "car won't start" "troubles starting" "help with starting" or random stuff like that, there's lots of threads about it

well the fuel pump is a new one so i just want to know if the fuel filter would stop it as well from starting ?
