I had one of these on my show truck. Instead of having just the black plastic, which fades, etc, I got the wiper cowl.

See how it goes over the existing wiper cowl area, to give the effect of a smoother appearance?

I was thinking of making one of these over the winter season.

Your thoughts?

Just know, its a ditch to get off. Its hard to get the caps out without wrecking the plastic.

This cowl will somehow sit securely on top

that sounds like a cool idea... but after recently removing my wiper cowl and repainting it seems that this piece you would make would have deep indents since the wiper arms literally rest on top of the cowl... I'm assuming it would be flush with the hood and meet the window?

Ya, that was my plan, flush with hood, across to window

since the wipers are so deep you could even cover most of them and have the wipers come out from under it... hmm now you have me thinking :confused2: :welder:

Interesting idea, GL. Bet it is harder to make than it looks. That one in the pic is really nice though.
