I got the car painted.. but now I need rims.
So.. I'm curious.. how much did you guys pay for your rims + tires?
I'll be looking locally but not afraid of looking online.

I did a lot of looking, and for a mediocre setup, expect 1000-1500.

Buy used. Got mine off a guy WITH tires (though they were almost done) for $450

I don't know where you're shopping, but 1500 will get you some of the "best" you can buy...
Enkei RPF1 or 949 6UL Wheels Wrapped with good summer rubber. If you'll be driving the car in winter, use your current wheels or stock wheels for WINTER tires so you dont slide and ruin your new paint!
15x7, 15x8 and 16x7 will be great. Silver/Nickel will look best on your car. I'd get some 225's
Lightweight wheels will make you

We are shopping in Canada. Tires and rims are much more expensive here then in the US of A.
If I was looking for rims, Id go craigslist for some nice used ones that are in great shape and maybe get some good used or new tires.

That $1,000 to $1,500 is in Canadian funds, which is like $2.00 US...

I'd say it's pretty close...
Also, one of many examples. Shipping could be done to someone in the US then you could pick them up. They might even ship to canada.

What car will you be driving in snow? Why not park the MX3 for winter then if you don't want to drive it, except on days above 45/50.
I'd get summer tires since they will offer the best performance. All seasons will allow you to run them in winter, but why bother if you don't need to drive in the snow, you will be sacrificing some warm weather performance.

Well I'm trying to decide on that lol. Between me and my dad we have 3 cars.. it's just a matter of which car.. I might use his truck in the wintertime.. idk.. I need to get my own winter car.. but we'll see.
and I am planning to get summer tires.. when I get the rims, I want to get a good set of summer tires.. and if I have to drive the MX3 in the winter I can keep my stock rims with the winter tread i have in my garage on them..

^ Yes. Good plan.
I'd splurge and get the wheels that will hold their value. RPF1's and 949's are the strongest/lightest/best looking wheels except the SSR Comp C's and they're normally cheaper.
BTW, I might be moving to PA, granted if I did it'd be in the middle of nowhere Williamsport, PA but we might have to arrange some sort of meet.
