Ha, how long till I have to replace it? What causes this anyway? Thank you guys!

Its caused by a worn out 5th gear, boosting , accelerating alot in 5th gear. its weak. Its easy to replace without taking the transmission appart.

Thank you, thats exactly when it pops out. Under acceleration or load on sloping freeways. I'll look into the replacement and thank you again!

Is it only 5th gear? I thought this was also caused by dangerously low tranny fluid?

x2 no more transmition fluid will cause that too

but is this a g series tranny?

or i guess I shoudl have asked, 4 cyl or 6?

Tranny slips out of 5th gear...
